I know its a stupid question, but having playe half a life time of Rugby League %26amp; Rugby in Australia, growing up we were always the taughest, fastest, strongest students %26amp; basically did whatever we wanted to %26amp; had the best parties, as long as we passed exams etc...
Same later at Uni, Rugby Players always hooked up with the hottest women %26amp; generally were chaperoned by the Netball Girls (very popular female sport in Australia %26amp; NZ). So just like all the American teen flicks, movies etc....do Footballers get all the women, or is it simply about money or who has the fastest car, best pad to crash etc...
Wondering how well ingrained the whole American jock thing is? I also played a season of Gridiron here in Sydney, loved it, was awesome.
see www.wspirates.com.auAre Footballers worshiped in American High Schools %26amp; Colleges, like in the movies etc...?football (american) is a religion in texas. Are Footballers worshiped in American High Schools %26amp; Colleges, like in the movies etc...?
american college football players are worshipped in canada.....nevermind only there. for highschool, i couldnt really say. probably in the southern football states (like texas, oklahoma, alabama, florida)Are Footballers worshiped in American High Schools %26amp; Colleges, like in the movies etc...?high school football players (we don't call them footballers, that sounds so gay) are generally very popular, but of course there are exceptions to every rule. high school football on friday nights in america is huge, thus the players are well liked if the team is winning, overly ridiculed if the team is losing. if you want to know how passionate we are about football in this country, just watch friday night lights. it is a true story. Are Footballers worshiped in American High Schools %26amp; Colleges, like in the movies etc...?
I never worshipped football players. I was more into hockey players when I was in high school, but then again I was not a cheeleader.
then again I went to a high school where the football team was lucky if they won one game per seasonAre Footballers worshiped in American High Schools %26amp; Colleges, like in the movies etc...?Depends on the school, and part of the country.
In the south, and espeicall in Texas, high school football is huge. They can draw 10-15k people to their games. And yes, many of them are worshiped.
In many other schools, ussualy just the QBs and possible other star players get attention. But its not always the case either. Are Footballers worshiped in American High Schools %26amp; Colleges, like in the movies etc...?
I will say yes. I live in Las VEgas and it is a big time sports event on Friday night to see a HIgh School foobtbal game. TV gives them like 15 minutes of plays on friday nights. It is a big. deal here and even bigger in Texas
