Im from london england, its ok but a very dangerous city now compared to what it once was, at my still young age of 16 ive witnessed a spontaneous stabbing of a 14 year old for no reason/been associated with worse, and generally have come to terms with the awful generation of people im living with, well most of them. I have a facination with the united states though and its been a dream of mine to move there so i like to watch videos about different states. And today when on the bus and looking at my surroundings i wondered how different my city may be to places in the USA, and then i thought to myself that there may actually be a similar state in America to London. Obviously never visiting the USA makes it hard to compare, but the one state i have looked at via youtube, google maps, movies, and heard about via detroit artists such as Eminem (from warren michigan) is Detroit aka Motor City, it reminds me of london because of the typical Dull Grey Sky looking as if its about to rain, the huge number of cars trafficing the roads, the extremely multiculturalised population and just the general view of it, i have never been so can not give a accurate opinion, but for anyone who has been to London (as its definantly not what people expect) and been to america, what state do you feel is similar to London England? What State in the USA is Similar to London England?
Uh.. New York City kind of..
I would assume California, because it's so popular. But if you want a more climatic place to live (some cold, some warm) you might want to go to Pennsylvania or whatnot. What State in the USA is Similar to London England?
You can't compare a state to London. A city, yes. But not a state. And just because you've listened to Eminem doesn't mean you can compare London to Detroit. Detroit was voted the 2nd most dangerous city in America of 2011, where as Glasgow was voted the most dangerous in the UK with London taking 7th place. The average life expectancy of teenagers in the most deprived areas of Detroit is 53, where as London's life expectancy is 72 in the most deprived areas.
A city I'd compare London to is Boston. The layout of the two cities is quite similar. Although London probably has a higher crime rate.
I would possibly agree with Detroit but also maybe Boston. Neither are states but are well known cities in the US. Not sure why just seems those 2 might be close to the same type of environment. What State in the USA is Similar to London England?
none. all us cities are crap
IKNOW!! the riots was terrible :(:(
And to the answerer who said it wasnt a bad place, open your eyes. How many murders/crimes are commited? I watch crimewatch, and London is always the first name to come up.
DO NOT GO TO DETROIT! Boston is very nice, multicultural, big city, fun place.
I don't know. But, London is not a "very dangerous city" trust me.
