Hi, I'm from Holland and we get a lot of American movies in cinemas here, but nearly everyone of them is the same stereotypical hero vs. bad guy thing, and every problem in the movie is resolved with violence. Why is that? Are you such a violent country or am I missing something? Why is nearly every American blockbuster violent?I wouldn't stereotype without research. I could easily say "ever Japanese horror film I've seen has been very gory" but I won't assume nearly every one is. Shock value goes a long way in this world, and if you hear a lot of hype about a movie you can sometimes attribute it to the amount of shock value it had.
I would suggest you see some American films in other genres besides action, horror, thriller, or crime drama. Go to imdb.com and browse. Happy searching. Why is nearly every American blockbuster violent?
We have many big movies that are not violent. The fact that only the violent ones make it to Holland maybe proves that Holland only likes the violent ones. Maybe if enough people in Holland liked the others, they'd make it there. Why is nearly every American blockbuster violent?I am not sure about your question, action %26amp; violent movies are a blockbuster hit bcoz people like them.
But still there are movies like TITANIC, one of greatest movies in turn of revenue earnings. .Why is nearly every American blockbuster violent?
Maybe you get all the action movies, they follow the same format a lot. I wouldn't say the USA is a violent country, but we like see some good action with special effectsWhy is nearly every American blockbuster violent? That's all we can think of, apparently.
