I liked movies "American beauty" and "crash" which are about the real people and their life, not Sci-Fi

or documentaries, or comedies or historical movies about kings and queens with that weird accent , or dumbass heroic movies such as 300

what is this genre of movies called ? (which is about regular people and their daily life issues)

do you know any movies similar to those twos i likedI liked movies "American beauty" and "crash" which are about the real people and their life, not Sci-FiThey don't fit in one genre. You've named a number of them. A documentary isn't a movie because it is not scripted as the average film is. A documentary about Albert Schweitzer would be entirely different from a film about him. Some can be combined, such as a comedic historical film, such as "Shakespeare in Love", as contrasted with a dramatic historical movie, such as "Anne of the Thousand Days".

"American Beauty" and "Crash" are simple dramas, probably the most common of films since the stories do not require special imagination, just a new way of expressing what the average person says and does. That type would include:

Capote

Sling Blade

Lean on Me

October Sky

The Big Chill

Little Children

The Ice Storm

Elizabethtown

The River King

Boys Don't Cry

Sweet Dreams

Life As a House

The Station Agent

The Virgin Suicides

A Home of Our Own

Hysterical Blindness

The Sweet Hereafter

To Kill a Mockingbird

I Want to Live! (1958)

Coal Miner's Daughter

Fried Green Tomatoes

Rebel Without a Cause

Before and After (1996)

The Remains of the Day

Real Women Have Curves

I Never Sang for My Father

The World's Fastest Indian

A Home of Our Own (1993)

A Love Song for Bobby Long

"American Beauty" and "Crash" are not about "real people", so I'm very confused about what you mean by that. By "real", you say you mean "regular", but those films don't really picture "regular" people; most are rather odd or unusual as I recall. I hope some of my suggestions are OK, but I'm not certain what you do want.I liked movies "American beauty" and "crash" which are about the real people and their life, not Sci-Fi
Trade is a good movie but it is a little more grittier than you might like. it deals with selling girls into underground sex rings.

Babel is also really good. that is more along the lines of Crash and American Beauty. Babel was also up for some Academy Awards, just like Crash and AB.

21 grams is also good.I liked movies "American beauty" and "crash" which are about the real people and their life, not Sci-FiI don't know what they are called but check out Traffic, Babel, Little Children, and 21 Grams. All good movies in the same style.I liked movies "American beauty" and "crash" which are about the real people and their life, not Sci-Fi
I really like movies like this as well. I'm not sure about a genre... but they're usually described as "gritty" and "raw" dramas... ones that depict reality as it truly is in the situations in the movie.

Here are some like those that I really enjoy:

Gone Baby Gone

Basketball Diaries

A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints

Reign Over Me

There are many more, but those are some good ones.I liked movies "American beauty" and "crash" which are about the real people and their life, not Sci-Fi"The Virgin Suicides" was soooo sad. It was really cool though.
