How come in the united states people refer to people as "white", "black", or "caucasian"? ?

I live in new york city (NYC), picture the world map with all of it's countries then picture living in a city with at least a 5000 people from each of these countries and guess what you got new york city.

referring to someone as white or black is racial ignorance, because there is no country named white, nor any country named black. Then when it comes to the word caucasian- the majority of us is using the word incorrectly, and is not in scientific use anymore because it was proved to be irrelevant. For example you may refer to two individuals as white but in actuality one is from italian heritage, and the other for Russian heritage. Two complete different cultures, so by referring to them as white we are robing them of their culture heritage. the same goes for referring to two individual as black, when their actual race are one is african american and the other is actually from jamaica. Two completely different racial background. The color of a person skin, or their physical appearance doesn't say anything about where they are from because for example the country i'm from there is dark skin and light skin, there straight, curly, and kinky hair. there's chingy, and rounder eyes. we come in different shape and form. How come in the united states people refer to people as "white", "black", or "caucasian"? ?
Because too many people think it's okay to separate the human race into "sub-races." That was done by the true racists long ago. We don't need anymore of that.



No one is black and no one is white. Let's stop calling ourselves that, yeah?

I honestly don't care... I'm Haitian, but you'd never know if you didn't ask me. It's just easier to say i'm black.




I honestly don't see why it is so disrespectful to some people to be called Black. White people are either called White or Caucasians. Blacks always argue they want to be called African Americans, but some realize, why call yourself African American if you weren't born there, ever been there or speak their language. Americans centuries ago were Native Americans, White and Blacks. Asians and Hispanics started moving in after. But Asians are referred to as Asian, not Asian American, or they are called their ethnicity. Which people should want to go by. Their are many ethicities to break down. Same with Hispanics. The race suggestion is just an easier way to describe a person,
