Ex: If they put you cleaning and maintaining guns.
It would cause extreme depression, and extreme hate for your life.
If you are in a bad marriage, you can get a divorce - but the military? What happens if a military person just quits because they hate it?I have never heard of cleaning guns causing depression. But being stationed somewhere around the globe, then that would most likely cause a bad marriage if the spouse can't handle it. But once you sign that contract, you are in. The only good way out is to serve your time, and maybe try to stay near home, unlikely but possible, and the only ways out of the military that will get you out the fastest are stupid things that will get you a dis-honorable discharge and then no one will want to hire you. What happens if a military person just quits because they hate it?
Yes there are ways to get out, but if you just quit, well in time of war that would be desertion, but you could also ask for what it call a conscientious objector
(CO) is an individual who, on religious, moral or ethical grounds, refuses to participate as a combatant in war or, in some cases, to take any role that would support a combatant organization armed forces. In the first case, conscientious objectors may be willing to accept non-combatant roles during conscription or military service. In the second case, the CO objects to any role within armed forces and results in complete rejection of conscription or military service and, in some countries, assignment to an alternative civilian service as a substitute for conscription or military service. Some conscientious objectors may consider themselves pacifist, non-resistant, or anti-militarist.
The international definition of conscientious objection officially broadened in 1998, when the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights document called “Conscientious objection to military service, United Nations Commission on Human Rights resolution 1998/77” officially recognized that “persons [already] performing military service may develop conscientious objections
But that would take time to be Labeled that and your commanding officer has to agree with you before it will take effect, and they will give you **** jobs and many jobs you won't work unless your out in the field, and it your the type that will quit because you don't like something then don't join to Begin with, and being put on weapons detail while it does suck isn't the end of life take pride in what your doing even if the job sucks at most in the army it will only last 8 yearsWhat happens if a military person just quits because they hate it?One, you choose your job. I'm sorry, but it's hard to hate something that you chose.
Two, you will always have to do things that you don't want to do. Regardless of your job.
Three, just quitting is called AWOL, which leads to desertion, which can lead to jail time.
There are means available to get out of the military. AWOL is not recommended. What happens if a military person just quits because they hate it?
There are dishonorable discharges, and you are out. Also depending on the circumstances at hand there are other choices. Last I checked it was all voluntary to sign on with the military, no drafts here, and trust me you don't go in with blinders on- they make it quite clear what you sign on for. So now are we going to make excuses for the Fort Hood terrorist? He signed up knowing full well he could go to war and against any type of threat including the middle east. What happens if a military person just quits because they hate it?Most people have a way out. There's a lot of injuries that people disclose from the military because it would keep them from joining. If you really want to quit, there's ways to get out. You just have to know how. What happens if a military person just quits because they hate it?
yes they can quit ,they can put in for a general discharge or they can put in a transfer to a non-combative job and give it a second chance .
you don't. your contract is for however many years and you don't get out before that contract is up/. just like any other contract out there.
