How do i find a military penpal who will actually respond to letters?

I've had this urge lately to become a pen pal, but for some reason every website i go to either you have to pay or it suggests the soldier may not respond, and other difficult circumstances i don't feel like dealing with. Is that so hard just to find someone in the military to write back and forth to? I want to show my support as well as grow a new relationship. Any simple suggestions?How do i find a military penpal who will actually respond to letters?the sites mention he may not respond because we're pretty busy over there and not every base has envelopes and paper available. you could greatly increase your chances of getting a response by putting your email adress down though.



anyway, i got a few letters from soldiers angels during deployment, dont think it cost them anything more than a stamp... you could try them.

or if you dont mind it being someone more local, find your local blue star mothers chapter. im sure one of them has a son/daughter deployed.

mrsjvb: have you been deployed to a war? oh wait i forgot, you never served but you seem to think u know what its like to be a troop. here's a newsflash for you: deployment is lonely, and getting a letter from a stranger...especially a female stranger... that even just talks about every day life is a bit heart warming. i've yet to meet a servicemember that wouldnt reply to someone from soldiers angels or any of those organizations who took the time to write or email.How do i find a military penpal who will actually respond to letters?
not every soldier is at war. we take shifts. dont act like you know anything about it mrsjvb
