What rank should you be to have a military wedding?

My fiance (a sailor) %26amp; I were thinking about having a military wedding next summer. He's been in the U.S Navy for a year now, so he's obviously a lower rank. Would it be odd to add some of the traditions that are included (arch of swords, etc) in our ceremony? He's going to be wearing his whites either way.

What do you think? Please only answer if you're personally connected with the Navy/military :)
