What to expect at military housing move out inspection?

It's the first time we've lived in military housing. We lived there 6 years so there is normal wear and tear. How spotless does it have to be? Also we were issued 2 keys and lost one. Do we need to have another key made? Thanks! What to expect at military housing move out inspection?Go and have a key made at Wal Mart so the post housing doesn't charge you an outrageous fee. And for the inspection expect just what is on your check out sheet. It varies by base and if you are on one of the "privatized" bases then your check out will be very easy. If they say "wipe out the oven" and "sweep the floor" that is exactly what they expect. Don't let anyone pressure you into hiring a private cleaning company! We've had problems with that. If anyone suggests it and suggests you will fail your inspection if you don't do this then they are likely getting a kickback and you should report them to your chain of command and the post IG. Good luck on your move! What to expect at military housing move out inspection?Military housing requires that you have a PRE-inspection prior to your final. At this inspection, they will come to your home and tell you exactly what needs to be repairs, replaced and how clean it needs to be. From experience, it needs to be spotless, carpets need to be professional cleaned if you have pets, all appliances needs to be spotlessly cleaned and in working order. There is SO much. Personally, I ALWAYS hire a cleaning crew. The housing office always has a list of cleaners. Remember, if you do not pass your final inspection, you will stay there cleaning it until you either pass or they require you to have it pro cleaned.

As far as the key: If it was a key that said "Govt property, do not copy", you will be paying for a new lockset for house. if it was just a standard key that looked like copy, you can go get a copy made. What to expect at military housing move out inspection? It depends on the company but to be honest I have found PPV companies have less standards than before. Meaning it does have to be clean but not white glove spotless. Usually vacuum rugs; wash floors; clean walls, bathrooms, windows, kitchen, appliances, etc... You will probably have to pay for the key. As you have been there that long they are going to let some things slide. Usually if they have to make repairs anyway they will put a cleaning team in there afterwards. I have never had to hire a professional team, done it myself and had a friend help me usually. Never had to do things again especially after it went PPV.What to expect at military housing move out inspection?
1. Just go get a key made

2. The best advise i can give you, is to just pay the $100 or $200 to have the company come clean your quarters

That way you are guaranteed to be passed, whether the house is clean or not.

3. I have seen inspectors be easy and have seen them be entirely nitpicky and fail people multiple times.
