Which branch of the military should I join with a criminal justice degree?

I am graduating from college with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Information Technology. I realize the job market is terrible right now and have been considering a career in the military. What options do I have?Which branch of the military should I join with a criminal justice degree?Military Police with Army if you like hard work.

Or Security Forces with the Air Force.

My uncle is an Air Force officer and it's like your typical 9-5 with pt and a few events on the weekend.

Be prepared to give at least 3 plus years active duty.Which branch of the military should I join with a criminal justice degree?
First off, congrats on graduating! The military in the last few years has really done a number on us law enforcement, almost every Army installation you go to these days have "rent-a-cops" working the gates and DOD civilians working the roads. The Marine Corps still has their military doing most of the police as well as the Air Force, infact the Marine Corps gets their K-9 training from the Air Force at Lacklack AFB. However, with a degree you may want to aim for Intelligence. Either way, after a few years in the military you could test for and go into the FBI. With a degree the military most likely would allow you to choose that career field.Which branch of the military should I join with a criminal justice degree? My husband is a retired marine, two sons in the AF and my dad was a coast guard captain and my sister is retired from the Navy. I can give you some angles. First, decide if you'd like to stick w/in your degree's range...CJ. (My DH also has a CJ degree). You know, you can always try a job with the government, sweetie. They're hiring. Try going to usajobs.gov (I think that's it) The AF is the largest "cop" trainer for military police, I believe. Both my sons are station police. One works at a nuke base and is a PRP guy (secret clearance). They enjoy it. Go here for some answers, they may help.

and www.waitinghearts.webs.com is for military families but has tons of links in it. Good luck with your decision!
First of all, don't listen to those who criticize our military. It is very hard work but it is also very rewarding. The military is and always has been what you put into it. If you choose to serve, you can make this observation yourself.

The key for graduates is negotiation, if you decide to accept an appointment, (officer) make damn sure you have all promises made in writing. Maybe the CID or NCIS is right for you. Now days many grads are enlisting, look at bonuses, ask questions, keep a copy of every piece of paper put in front of you. Go serve and serve proudly, it will be an experience that will last a lifetime. Good Luck!Which branch of the military should I join with a criminal justice degree?whatever you do dont become a military cop. army has Military Police, air force has Security Forces, navy and marines... i dunno. but the air force is the best branch to join. and i assume you would go in to become an officer since you have a degree. be warned, the military stinks though.Which branch of the military should I join with a criminal justice degree?
Because of your major in criminal justice, you'd be better in the Army, either way your MOS will still have to give you training, and because of your college, you'll become and officer (0-1 2Nd Luitenant) no matter what branch you enter
Your degree really won't mean a whole lot to them. They'll have you take a standardized test when you enter service, and they will base your career opportunities on the results. You have to obtain above a certain level to be eligible for the good jobs.Which branch of the military should I join with a criminal justice degree?
The Army is best for ciminal justice by far. Information tchnology would be best for the Navy though.
Military Police
Join the army and put your CJ degree in use with a Intelligence job
If you're into CJ go MP in any branch- they all have them. Go in as an officer, whatever you do.
Probably Navy
