Independents, Democrats, and Republicans?
i try not to talk politics with anyone because if i have a different view on something people go ape $#1t and it just gets really annoying, but i was just curious on what kind of political views the military has,What percentage of the military consider themselves? Each year, there are numerous polls that try to quantify the percentage of Republicans, Democrats, Independents, etc. Typically the polls indicate something along the average of split equally between Democrat and Republican, and about 10-20% Independent/Don't Care. The change slightly constantly.
Military members tend to be more conservative than the rest of the population in general, but that is frequently incorrectly used to claim that the military is more Republican in political outlook.
The exception to that is that Officers tend to be more conservative, and they do have higher numbers who claim they are Republican.
I think that the reality is, that while many are conservative, particularly in matters concerning defense and foreign affairs, most servicemembers do not even vote. The national political parties always talk a good game about going for the "military vote". However, in my admittedly unscientific polling, most of us do not vote because we are removed from our hometowns and lose touch with issues back there, and since we are not registered to vote at home, then we do not vote nationally. The military goes to great lengths to ensure that we have the ability to vote no matter where we are, but again, in reality, it is just too much a**-pain to actually go through the process.
No one really want to admit it, but the average young troop comes into Service before he has probably ever voted back home, and he just continues that lack of interest while he is in the Service. What percentage of the military consider themselves?
Political affiliations of military members are typically kept private. We are not permitted to publicly express our political affiliations, cannot attend political rallies in uniform, and cannot publicly voice political views because they can be (and will be) interpreted as a representation of the views of the entire military force. What percentage of the military consider themselves? In the military, we are generally required to not publicly express our political, religious, or gender based opinions. It's just asking for division and argument, which you cannot have in the military.
Of course a poll could always be taken.
But hey, a famous quote from Black Hawk Down - "Once a bullet flies past your head, politics get thrown out the window."What percentage of the military consider themselves?
At least half of the military is conservative then I would say Independents would be 2nd most then Democrats would be the least political group members of the military identify with. What percentage of the military consider themselves?Have you ever watched Black Hawk Down?
Do you remember the Delta Force operator who said " Once a bullet flies past your head, politics get thrown out the window?"What percentage of the military consider themselves?
All of the ones who vote.
Tea party!
