How does it feel to see a civilian wear a military uniform?

Do you think its disrespectful to wear a military uniform just for fun if your not in the armed services. Is it offensive when people dress up as military for halloween or what about "naughty," military uniforms? Do you find it offensive?How does it feel to see a civilian wear a military uniform?If someone dresses up as a soldier for halloween, I don't care. The same for people who wear a uniform pants or shirt.

I think it depends on what the person is doing in the uniform. If they are pretending to be a member of the military and acting like a fool, then yes it is somewhat offensive. Just like it would be rude if someone dressed like a doctor or fireman and acted like an idiot. They are mocking the uniform but, it's not like they should be arrested for it or anything. It's just kind of rude and annoying. If the person is being genuine and dressing that way as a sign of respect, then that's fine.

any thing else you want to do. the surplus stores are full of old military gear. the people wearing it are probably ex military anyway. i haven't seen anyone dressed up as patton, or omar bradley for halloween. people aren't wearing the stuff to make fun of it.How does it feel to see a civilian wear a military uniform?
Marines have a lot of pride in their service and we believe that you have to earn the right to wear our uniforms...the thing that makes it the most disrespectful is the fact that people have died wearing the uniform...by disrespecting it, you disrespect the sacrifice that they have made..How does it feel to see a civilian wear a military uniform?not only that Anthony (guy above me) but you have to PAY to wear the uniform in the Marines.
