Do movies like American Pie portray real American culture?

Movies like American Pie (all parts) and No strings attached display nudity at extreme level and college kids having sex and all very casually. Is all this stuff really true. I mean, is sex really such a casual topic in America, like you can just walk up to a girl, get a little friendly with her and in no time take it to having sex? Especially in No Strings Attached, people have sex like its just hand shaking :p

Is all this exaggered or not.

I know some of it IS exaggerated like AP:Naked Mile and Beta House, but still...

No. American culture is actually quite reserved.

While (some) college kids do have sex, most Americans don't start college until they are 18 or older.

Sex is not really casual in America. I'm not sure where you are from, but attitudes about sex in Europe are much less reserved than in America. Those movies are a farce; that's why people like them. Because life is not really like that.Do movies like American Pie portray real American culture?
