I met Frank Lucas in 1975 in had been involved in an auto accident and had broken his leg. He was an amazing guy to BS with. I was in Law school at the time. Its amazing what he accomplished in a business sense, by just thinking it all out, and looking at drugs and importing them with no middle man as a business only deal. He trusted no one. The movie is pretty lame, it tells some of the story, but not how things really happened, like using caskets to hide the dope in, they used furniture crates, not caskets, that was a rumor started by a guy who worked for him. And a lot of the story, things they said he did, really were things his brother did. I did think Denzel did a good job, but he still didnt do Frank Lucas justice....What is your favourite scene from the movie " american gangster "?That's easy... The scene where Lucas and Roberts are sitting together and Roberts is explaining to Lucas just how much trouble he's in and that there is no way he is getting out of it...



Lucas is so cocky and overconfident until he realizes that Roberts is right. Then he gives in and agrees to help Roberts with what he's REALLY after (which of course is a nice plot twist).What is your favourite scene from the movie " american gangster "?
He doesn't kill the guy with the piano. That's his cousin, he just beats him with it and scolds him for dropping blood on his expensive carpet. That movie sucked and was over rated.



It's about how a man ruined an entire community with DRUGS. The movie tried to make it look like it was a good thing or something, "Gangsta". The bad parts of New York are the way they are now because of Frank Lucas.
