yes. but. many restaurants computer systems work differently. make sure you know exactly what the amount of the card is. where i work, our computer doesnt recognize these cards as gift cards. the computer must get an approval for the transaction, and it will appear to the computer that your 'credit limit' is only $50 if you have a $50 gift card. our computer will only approve the transaction for 41.00, because it has to figure the tip in the total approval amount. confusing, i know. but we deal with it all the time. the amex ones are the most tricky but it should go thru.Do those american express gift cards work for the movies and restuarants?Maybe.
